I have brought back the message board to Livingston Parish.

It had some major problems with foreign spammers and the new version fixes that.
You will find that some of the buttons are missing but you can still click on the button area and it will work.

You do have to have an account and password to post.
You also have to put a code in a box to make sure you are not a computer automatically logging on.

I hope to hear from some of you people out there !!!!!

I will be adding more to the Livingston Parish website very soon.

Thanks to all that have supported me thru all these years back to 1996 and the fun of the 2004 election in the Parish.

I live in Walker. Been here a little over a year. I like to read the call and comment in the Livingston Parish News. All the complaints about the roads, police, cityhall, city services just blow my mind! I haven't been on a bad road yet. The police patrol my street and I can actually walk into cityhall and talk to someone. The drainage ditch along my street gets sprayed for mosquitoes and if I call for any city service I usually get sameday or next day responce. Where I came from this is just a dream!

I have about 300 cards that date back before 1970.

The Louisiana Board of Ethics filed charges against a former Livingston Parish Council member Danny Harrell and a company his wife owned alleging violations of state conflict of interest laws.

Danny Harrell faces six charges related to private business dealings (involve work he did as superintendent of residential construction for D.R. Horton, as an authorized agent for Valley Builders Inc) with Livingston Parish government. His wife Petra’s firm, P&D Development, faces a single charge.

Read the whole story here. http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/49778972.html

This guy Danny boy thought he was tough crap when he became Parish Councilman back in 2004. He had a little cabinet business he ran and always talked bad about a certain builder in Livingston Parish. From what I gather he ended up working for this same builder he talked so badly about before he became Parish Councilman. It's funny how he changed his tune about this builder when he became a councilman. I was told this builder sold out his business to some of the same people Danny ended up working for. I'm not sure I got this story exactly right but it does go something like that. He personally told me how crummy this one builder (Donaldson I think) was before he became councilman and then praised this same builder when he became a councilman. I think he praised this builder only because he may have started working for him. When I found this out I was sick that I trusted someone to do the right thing and then flip flopped on me. I can't understand how a proud military man that he was, at least I think he was seeing he told me he was in special forces and knew karatee and other combat tactacs, could do what he is charged with. I'm glad that justice has a way of catching up with some people!

Danny I just want to say that you really let me down. I voted for you in 2004. Then I watched you work for a builder that you disspised. Why did you go against the things you believed in? I thought you were a man of honor.

I did a little searching on the internet and this is what I found.

Grimmer says the Livingston Economic Development Council paid $100,000 for a Disney site study. He's hoping to hear from Disney within the next couple months.

Did he ever hear back?

Here is the link to the WAFB article.

This is saying that Disney is indeed looking at Livingston Parish to put a theme park.
