Will someone please turn on the heat so that I can get back on the river?

I don’t think that you will see me floating in a bathtub but you should look out for the Clio Queen. She is a 1972 Kayat Float Boat (party barge) and she is the flagship of the “Livingston Parish Redneck Yacht Club”.

The weather is starting to get a little cooler and the leaves are starting to turn on the River. To me, it is one of the most beautiful times of the year. A lot of the weekend warriors have gone home and put their boats away for the winter so the whole river is open to diehards like myself. God has truly blessed Livingston Parish with some of the most beautiful waterways anywhere. I took the picture above a few weeks ago just as the sun was going down at the mouth of the Amite River.
